Q
Will allergies get better on their own as a child grows up?
Some children with food allergy may become tolerant as they get older, but inhaled allergens such as house dust mite and pollen often persist, and allergic rhinitis may also develop into asthma. Rather than "waiting for it to get better with age," regular management with scheduled follow-up visits for assessment is more reliable.
